Welcome to the Ascension Lutheran faith community. Ascension seeks to be an expression of, as well as an extension of God's grace in the Shelby area. It is a small strong church that seeks mission growth over member growth. We think you will agree that these days there is a huge difference between simply going to church and involving or sharing one's life in a faith community. As a faith community, Ascension is a place where persons can share the richness of life, the joys, the sorrows and all that the years will bring in the context of a community centered on Jesus Christ. When the Holy Spirit guides a person's life to Ascension, they learn that people don't simply attend Ascension, they become Ascension in the sense that they learn how Jesus' call to discipleship is a call for their very lives to become extensions and expressions of God's grace in the world. Come share the journey of faith and life at Ascension. May God bless you and may the Holy Spirit continue to guide and guard your life.

Standing with you in the grip of God's grace (Romans 5:1-5),
Jeff Erbskorn, Minister
