Faith Community Health Ministry

“May the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound.” (1Thessalonians 5:23)
Picture
Recognizing how Scripture lifts up the importance of healthy spirit, mind and body, community health ministries provide people with ways to connect faith and wellness in their daily lives as disciples.  Since October 2014, Ascension has had a trained health ministry promoter.

A promoter is not a parish nurse or medical professional so our ministry if focused on sharing information about community health events, promoting health literacy and providing education resources to help us be a healthier Body of Christ.

Carolinas HealthCare is our covenant partner in this ministry, and their staff provide a number of free education events and share resources, such as CPR dummies for Family and Friends CPR, with us. They also have speakers available for presentations on a variety of health education topics.

You will find health information in the monthly newsletter, bulletin inserts, our weekly e-news and on the bulletin board near the church office. If you have a specific area of interest, please talk with Pastor Christina.
